Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does the J-4000i support hanging-garment steaming without a horizontal board?
Jiffy describes the Pro-Line multipurpose model as a garment steamer and the J-4000 family manual shows the rod set supporting hanging clothes. The clothing plan uses a garment-suitable included metal head; the cleaning and carpet attachments are not blanket textile approvals.
Explore this need in the finder →Do the listed tank and duration clear the maximum quiz thresholds?
The J-4000i page lists one gallon (128 US fl oz) and up to 105 minutes per fill; the family manual instead lists approximately two hours. The lower 105-minute product-page claim is the structured comparison value, above the 52 oz and 50 minute endpoints. Neither claim is our measurement or a guaranteed session length.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the U.S. J-4000i support both 120 V and 230 V in one appliance?
Jiffy lists separate 120 V and 230 V configurations, not one confirmed dual-voltage unit. The U.S. evaluated version is 120 V; check the model rating rather than inferring voltage from a plug style.

The J-4000 base arrives with a distinctly different head kit
The J-4000i is a Pro-Line upright base-and-hose setup whose purpose is signaled by its four included heads. Jiffy lists a nine-inch bent aluminum pipe, a B brush cleaning head, a six-inch metal steam head and a twelve-inch carpet head. The item page calls this multipurpose package J-4000i, item 1401-2-1, while the category card uses J-4000i-1. Keep those identifiers together when checking a listing: the model family is shared, but this is not simply the base J-4000 clothing page with a different color.
Garment steaming is in scope because Jiffy also places this package in its Pro-Line clothing-steamer solution and the included metal steam head is suitable to the documented vertical garment plan. The J-4000 manual describes a rod set for hanging clothing without a separate horizontal ironing board. The multipurpose label is not blanket authorization for every head on every textile: the brush and carpet attachments address other jobs, and the maker's garment-care and safety instructions still govern. For clothing, assess the head and hanging setup, not the mere count of attachments.
Plan for the base, pole, hose and head together
This is floor-standing equipment rather than a handheld steamer. The product page lists a 20 by 11 by 61-inch assembled footprint, a 5.5-foot hose and a 7-foot power cord. The rod set supports a hanging garment, but the complete base and pole need a place to stand and to cool after use. These figures call for checking the available area around long garments and the outlet location; they do not show that the pole height adjusts or that the product folds for compact storage.
Jiffy presents the Pro-Line family for commercial use, and the clothing solution page describes vertical garment work. In practice, that evidence supports comparing the J-4000i when the head kit's other tasks are useful as well as clothing care. It does not establish that the cleaning or carpet components should be used on clothing, nor does it make this base-and-hose machine interchangeable with an integrated-board system.
Shared high-capacity claims, with a lower value used for comparison
The exact J-4000i page lists a one-gallon / 3.8-liter reservoir and 1 hour 45 minutes of steam per fill. The linked 2025 J-4000 owner manual instead states two hours of continuous steaming for the Pro-Line family. One U.S. gallon converts to 128 U.S. fluid ounces. Because these two source claims conflict, the finder fact deliberately retains the lower, product-page figure of 105 minutes; that is above the quiz's 50-minute maximum. This is an evidence-based conservative comparison value, not an independently measured duration and not a promise that every head uses water at the same rate.
The page says the machine reaches standby after 15 minutes, then is ready within two additional minutes; the manual describes approximately 16 minutes to full steam. Different phrasing and conditions prevent a single reliable heat-up figure, so the fact record leaves that field unknown. Jiffy's manual also stresses vertical use and safe handling of the hose and hot steam head. It directs users not to wear a garment while steaming it.
Check voltage and the exact package before buying
The assessed U.S. configuration is 120 V. Jiffy lists a separate 230 V version, not one steamer operating on both voltages. The power-configuration document shows plug choices associated with the supply versions; it specifically makes clear that a plug style by itself is not proof of the machine's voltage. Verify the exact voltage on the appliance and the selected offer.
The J-4000i fits a narrow comparison case: upright garment steaming plus an included multihead package that has non-clothing uses. The tradeoffs are a large standing arrangement, a broader kit than a clothing-only routine needs, attachment-specific care questions and discrepant 105-minute versus two-hour duration claims. Check whether the seller's model is J-4000i/item 1401-2-1, which heads ship, whether the rod set is included, and whether the electrical version is correct. Its listed capacity and wattage describe specifications, not hands-on performance.
